Honest take. Custom-printed shirts are not returnable like a stock pair of work pants. Once your name and logo are on the shirt, no one else is buying that shirt. We can't restock it. So in 95% of cases, the order is final on delivery.
When we will fix it. If we made the mistake. Wrong size we ordered as a blank that we knew you wanted. Wrong color shirt versus the proof you approved. Misregistered print, off-center print, missing color, ink that washed out in the first wash because we didn't cure it properly. Any of that is on us. We reprint, no charge, sometimes faster than the original turnaround because we know it's the priority.
When we can't. You approved the proof and now you don't like the way the design looks. Your boss/client/spouse hates the colors. The font you picked feels too small in person. None of this is the print's fault — the print matched the file. We'll tell you straight.
"We'll fix our mistakes. We can't unprint a shirt because you changed your mind."
Sizing complications. If you ordered an XL and your guy is actually a 2XL, that's a sizing call we can't undo on a printed shirt. What we can do is print a new shirt at a discount — usually 50% off the per-shirt rate — to get the right size. The original shirt is on you to figure out a use for.
How we prevent the regrettable scenario. We send a digital proof for any order over $100. We'll print one sample on a stock shirt for any order over 20 pieces if you ask. Spend 2 minutes reviewing the proof and you save a lot of pain.
Real situations. Bring questions to the custom printing counter before, not after. We'd rather slow your order by an hour than reprint your $400 job.
