Half the neighborhood is parkland. The other half is single-family, townhouse, and coastal infill. We stock for the trades that work the inlets.

Princes Bay: coastal residential and the parkland buffer. — illustration

About half of Princes Bay is parkland. Wolfe's Pond Park, Arbutus Woods Park, Lemon Creek Wetlands, Mount Loretto Unique Area — Gateway National Recreation Area buffers and tidal coastal preserve. The other half is single-family homes, townhouses, and newer residential developments on tree-lined streets that descend to tidal coves and salt marshes.

What that means for trades: single-family remodel, addition, and elevation work near the coast. Deck and dock work along the inlets. Hardscape and landscape work on the larger inland lots. New residential infill on the remaining wooded parcels.

We're 30 to 35 minutes south via NY-440 → Hylan Boulevard south. Inside the standard delivery zone — order by 4 PM, drop at the trailer by 7 AM.

Coastal elevation work is its own animal — same as the Tottenville profile. Foundation crews want the rubber knee bibs and the rubber boots, framers on the stilted rebuilds want the Carhartt double-knee dungarees and the Wolverine direct-attach 6-inch, the Carhartt OJ insulated bib for the November-to-March work.

Deck and dock work along the inlets pulls a marine-adjacent kit. Marine-grade waterproof boots — Red Wing Worx, Timberland Pro Boondock — for the wet work along the bulkheads. Cut gloves rated A4 because the dock hardware will tear ungloved hands. Hi-vis class 2 because the dock work pulls supply trucks down narrow residential streets.

Hardscape and landscape on the bigger inland lots want the Carhartt double-front canvas pants, the Wolverine waterproofs for spring mud, the Carhartt OJ for late-fall hardscape installs.

New residential infill on the wooded parcels pulls the framing crews. Same kit as anywhere else — Carhartt double-knee, Wolverine and Timberland Pro 6-inch, cut gloves and impact gloves at the counter.

Princes Bay contractors run small to mid-sized — three to ten guys — across multiple jobs. Fleet account opens at five items, net-30 terms, volume pricing. Delivery to the trailer or the truck.

Custom embroidery on polos and softshells, in-house, no minimums. Coastal contractors who work in homeowners' driveways want the embroidered chest logo. We do it in three days.
